Thank you for taking interest in our Rural Membership Program. The Calhoun Rural Fire Association is accepting rural members that live in a 15 mile square radius from our station. If you meet this requirement then you are eligible for our rural fire program.

What is Rural Fire Membership? :Rural Fire Membership is a program where citizens of Henry County that live within our 15 mile square radius has the opportunity to purchase fire protection and ems services.
What happens if I do not purchase membership and I need emergency assistance? :If this is the case then we will still respond to your residence or property. However instead of a small membership fee, you will be forced to pay a bill which is much greater. This can vary from a few hundred dollars, to as much as a few thousand dollars.
Why do non-members receive such large bills for emergency response? : Due to the increasing cost of fuel and other such requirements, we must charge a large amount to compensate.

By purchasing rural membership through the Calhoun Rural Fire Association you receive :
- 24/7 Emergency Response with response times averaging 3 minutes from the time of alarm to the time en route.
- A fire department whom has dedicated personnel with years of service.
- Free EMT and EMT-First Responder emergency response for any medical need.
- Free mutual aide from other surrounding departments if a situation requires it.
Additional Information
The Calhoun Rural Fire Association has received many grants over the years from organizations such as the Federal Emergency Management Agency as well as the Missouri Department of Conservation. These grants have allowed us to purchase new equipment such as Personal Protective Equipment (Turnout gear, Air Tanks..), as well as a large amount of medical supplies. These grants have also paid for the training of fireman to become EMT-First Responders to allow us to better serve our citizens in their time of need.
Price Information
Membership fee is a low annual fee of $50.00. There is an additional $10.00 charge for new members.
